A 6-colour screenprint with gold pigment, on Magnani Litho paper, by Anne Gournay, signed and numbered on the front.
It is part of a new project: “A UNION JACK”. This print has details in gold pigment, which shimmer according to the direction of light. (see photo)
''A Union Jack' is my reaction to the rise of nationalism in the UK, and more largely worldwide. It consists of four prints, one for each country forming the UK: Rose for England, Daffodil for Wales, Shamrock for Northern Ireland, and Thistle for Scotland. In the face of human-made bad news, it is always preferable to focus on what beauty nature has to offer."
Titles are excerpts from either anthems or songs that represent each country’s identity.
50x50cm, UNFRAMED
Edition of 4, signed and numbered on the front.
