A varied edition of 3 cyanotype prints on Arches watercolour paper, framed (floated and raised in a black frame). Cyanotype is an old photographic process developpped in the 19th century. Two chemicals are mixed to create a solution which becomes blue when exposed to UV light. The solution is applied to watercolour paper. Once dry, exposure takes place. Then the print is rinsed in running water for a long time, in order to only keep the blue colour in areas reached by UV light.
This print was made by using plants from a garden in Spain, and using the sunlight. The last image shows you how the print was made during the exposure process.
Available framed at £680.
